Father John,
I have tears in my eyes as I read about Marshall. How I would have loved to be there with Sophie for her mothers memorial! My memories of Pilot Station and Marshall will be close to my heart forever... I pray fervently that they receive a permanent priest! Thank you for your time and love given freely to them. Jennifer showed me how to make greek coffee, when I sip it I am flooded with good memories of the hospitality of the people. I know you must travel on, God Bless!

Willie:

It is so good to hear from you. My heart tugged a bit today at liturgy, thinking of Marshall and our worship together.

Please do me a favor: Check with both Russian Mission and Pilot Station for the number of Bibles which they need.

Ever with me in thought and prayer,
Fr John

Fr. Thank you from behalf of the Parish of St. Michael the Archangel and the Holy Protection... it was a pleasure to have you here in Marshall and I do hope you will continually keep us in your Prayers. We developed an Orthodox Youth Group who recently did a fund raiser event doing a half-cash raffle and made just over $120.00 they are excited to take on responsibility in providing support for our church. We miss you alot... althought you've done alot and don't realize the positive impact you provided... the wonderful services and opportunity to lead us in the right direction giving us inspiration to go forward with tools like the Orthodox Study Bibles it truely was a gift to all that received them. Be well Father... i hope you enjoyed the boat ride we took... i enjoyed every minute of it.

Hi Fr. John,
Father, bless!
This is Donna from Scranton, PA--adopted member of the PSU OCF, etc. I wanted you to know that I have been following your blog, and I think it's fantastic! Your storytelling is so entertaining and informative... This post had me cracking up ("As I keep waddling down the banks of the Yukon, I'm not going hungry." LOL). Anyway, just wanted to let you know I'm reading, and think it's great. Keep it up, and may the rest of your travels be safe and fulfilling!

Father,

I see you are improving on your Greek. (At least you have more success with them than with Yu'pik)

I can see that you are enjoying the trip.

I will see you in State College at some point :D
